Elon Musk’s space company, SpaceX, moved more than $133 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) on Friday. Data from blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence shows that SpaceX moved a total of 1,215 Bitcoins to several new addresses.
This transfer came just days after another similar move, sent to addresses controlled by the same company.
According to Arkham, in this transaction, SpaceX sent 300 Bitcoins (about $33 million) and another 915 Bitcoins (about $100 million) to wallets whose identities are currently unknown.
Before this transfer, the company held about 8,285 Bitcoins, worth approximately $914 million, making it the fourth-largest private company in the world with a Bitcoin vault.
However, it is still unclear what SpaceX’s purpose is with this move and whether it plans to sell some of its assets. It is worth noting that Elon Musk’s other company, Tesla, also holds 11,509 Bitcoins, worth more than $1.2 billion. At the time of writing, the price of Bitcoin is reported to be around $111,616.
